Diamond is committed to being at the forefront of scientific research and providing our 14,000 strong user base in both academia and industry with access to our state-of-the-art synchrotron to fulfil their research goals covering a wide variety of scientific disciplines.
Together with the Technopolis Group, we have been working on a comprehensive study that aims to measure and demonstrate Diamond’s scientific, technological, societal and economic benefits. With this Socio-Economic Report now at publication stage, we would like to share the findings with staff, users, stakeholders and the general public via an informative webinar taking place on Wednesday 26th May 2021, 14:00-16:00 (BST). Please note - this will not be the same format as our monthly family webinars and is not intended for a family audience.
Chaired by Sandra Ribeiro, Chair of lightsources.org and Communications Advisor for the Canadian Light Source, attendees will be given insight into the methodology of the study from the team involved at both Diamond and Technopolis, as well as a chance to hear the perspectives from our stakeholders at UKRI and the Wellcome Trust on impact and evaluation.
In addition, we have invited the following users to give ignite talks on how Diamond has impacted on their scientific research:
There will also be time at the end of the session for question and answers with all the panellists. If you would like to join us, please make sure to register for the webinar here, by 17:00 (BST) on Monday 24th May 2021. Please cascade to others as appropriate.
