The 2nd GBI Exchange of Experience workshop (EoE II) will take place on 15th - 16th of September 2017 at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bangalore, India.
The EoE II workshop is the second of a series of three international workshops on Exchange of Experience, organized by the Global BioImaging Project. The joint aim of the workshops is to bring together Euro-BioImaging facility staff and their international colleagues, to stimulate networking and long-term cooperation among imaging infrastructures as well as to support and foster exchange of expertise and best practice. The 1st EoE workshop, held in 2016 in EMBL, Germany brought together 78 participants from 6 continents.
THE SCOPE of this 2nd EoE workshop will be “International Open User Access”. The workshop programme is built around three important pillars: “How to build/How to operate/How to sustain a research infrastructure for open user access”. We expect highly interesting discussions around these themes during the 2-day workshop. In addition, one of the future outcomes of the EoE II workshop will be the preparation of common international recommendations on open user access to biological and medical imaging infrastructures.
The EoE II workshop programme includes invited Keynote speakers as well as discussion sessions.
The EoE II workshop participation is free of charge, however the participants should cover their travel and accommodation costs. The workshop includes lunches, coffee breaks and the dinner on Friday evening free of charge.
