The Astbury Conversation – a world class cross-disciplinary conference on understanding life at molecular detail – will return to the University of Leeds on 20-21 April 2026 with a bold new theme: Designing Biology. 

Over two days, this event will bring together international experts in structural and chemical biology, biophysics, and biotechnology to explore how biology can be engineered from the bottom up and top down, and from the underpinning research technologies that shape the field to applications.
