The international series of Brazil Schools for Single Particle Cryo-EM started in 2005 and many of the participants and instructors of those Schools call it the decisive event of their EM career. The school is an intensive 12-days workshop aimed at providing a sound theoretical and intuitive understanding of Cryo-EM principles. This school amalgamates theoretical teaching with practical courses on your own computer (specified in the link above) and, if appropriate, even with your own data set. The high ratio of 1:2 between instructor/ lecturers to participants, ensures the necessary attention for the participants' specific problems. The processing methodologies and the software used, are applicable to many sciences where: 1D; 2D; 3D; and even 4D, data are processed. We are introducing new advanced topics at the cutting edge of Cryo-EM. The new electron-counting cameras not only provide excellent results; they also challenge the very foundations of physics! New insights help resolving the measurement problem in Classical Physics and in Quantum Mechanics.
