A postdoctoral position with a FAPESP fellowship is available for research on the determination of three-dimensional structures of luciferases and photoproteins, within the framework of the FAPESP Thematic Project “Bioluminescence: biodiversity; metabolic origin; structure/function and engineering of luciferases; applications in biosensors, bioassays and environmental bioindication.”

The project will be conducted in Brazil, at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo, part of the University of São Paulo, located in São Paulo, Brazil. The research will be supervised by Atílio Tomazini (IF-USP) and Vadim Viviani (UFSCar).
The opportunity is open to Brazilian and international candidates who obtained their PhD degree within the last seven years. The selection process will take place from March 9 to March 23, 2026, with an expected immediate start date.
