Key Responsibilities
• Characterization of Viral Replication Complexes
o Investigate the formation, evolution, and function of replication complexes during the viral life cycle.
o Study the interactions between viral and host proteins with viral RNA and their role in replication.
• Structural Analysis
o Determine the high-resolution structures of replication complexes in various functional states using Cryo-Electron Microscopy.
o Analyze structural data to elucidate mechanisms of viral replication and transcription.
• Functional Studies
o Assess the biochemical and enzymatic activities of replication complexes.
o Explore the molecular determinants of viral RNA synthesis and processing.
• Collaboration and Reporting
o Work closely with team members and collaborators to integrate structural and functional findings.
o Present results at project meetings, conferences, and in peer-reviewed publications.
Required Qualifications
Education
• PhD in Structural Biology, Virology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Technical Skills
• Experience in macromolecular structure determination (e.g., Cryo-Electron Microscopy or related techniques).
• Strong background in protein biochemistry and molecular biology.
• Familiarity with viral systems (preferably RNA viruses).
Soft Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills .
