Postdoc, Research Assistant, and PhD opportunities in computational cryo-EM/ET at Yale
Yale University, YALE, United States
Application deadline: 02 Oct 2026
The Kexin Zhang Lab at Yale University is recruiting postdoctoral researchers, research assistants, and prospective Ph.D. students. Their lab develops new computational approaches for cryo-EM and cryo-ET by integrating physical modeling, numerical methods, and AI to enable molecular detection, structural analysis, and discovery in complex and native biological environments.
They welcome applicants with backgrounds in computational structural biology, cryo-EM/cryo-ET, computer vision, machine learning, applied mathematics, biophysics, or related areas. Previous cryo-EM experience is helpful but not required. We are particularly interested in researchers who enjoy developing new computational methods at the interface of AI, imaging, and structural biology.
Positions and research opportunities:
• Postdoctoral researchers
• Research assistants
• Prospective Ph.D. students interested in joining or rotating in the lab through Yale graduate programs
Interested candidates should send:
• A CV
• A brief summary of research experience and interests
• Representative publications or research projects, if applicable
• Contact information for references, if applicable
Please feel free to reach out to discuss potential research opportunities
