Group/Division Summary
This position is within the Analytical Instruments Group, the Materials and Structural Analysis Division, within the Life Sciences Electron Microscopy business unit. Established in 2016, The Cambridge CryoEM Pharmaceutical Consortium brings together 5 pharma companies, the University of Cambridge, the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (MRC-LMB) and Thermo Fisher Scientists to create a collaborative space to explore and promote the utilisation of CryoEM in Drug Discovery. Thermo Fisher wants to further expand the team in Cambridge with a Senior Applications Scientist to accommodate the increase in industrial demand for CryoEM.
Position Summary
As an Applications Scientist, you will work closely with the Pharma Members of the Consortium to implement innovative single particle analysis workflow strategies to successfully deliver structures of challenging proteins and protein complexes. Your work will be an important contributor to enabling development of new therapeutics!
